Expect Distribution is celebrating after landing the internationally-recognised award for demonstrating high standards of health and safety for the fifth consecutive year.

Organisations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognised as being world leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK’s longest running H & S industry awards.

The majority of awards are non-competitive and mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Gold medals, president’s awards, orders of distinction and the Patron’s Award are presented to organisations sustaining the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years.

Competitive awards go to the best entries in 24 industry sectors including construction, healthcare, transport and logistics, engineering, manufacturing and education.

There are specialist awards for health at work, environmental management, safety delivered outside of the workplace, and fleet safety, and excellence trophies for the best international organisation, new entry, workforce involvement, leisure organisation, and organisation operating or based in Scotland. RoSPA’s top accolade is the Sir George Earle Trophy.

Expect Distribution has upped its game in the fight against the impact of coronavirus and announced an improved benefits package including additional holidays, company health care scheme, the funding of all HGV driver medicals, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, a new onsite gym facility and an annual BBQ for all employees and their families amongst many other benefits.

Expect have hosted “free brekky Friday” during April and May, with the Management team taking turns prepare and serve breakfast for all employees at the start of their shift. In May they held a holiday themed dress down Friday with a makeshift beach in the car park, the idea was ‘If our employees can’t go on holiday, we will bring the holiday to them’

Bradford based, family run business, Expect Distribution have been shortlisted as a finalist in the Motor Transport ‘Haulier of the Year’ award, to take place at London’s Grosvenor House, Park Lane on Tuesday 17th November 2020.

The Motor Transport Awards, also known as the Oscars of the transport industry, are judged by senior independent figures within the industry and recognize and celebrate outstanding performance, and are seen as a benchmark for excellence across the UK.

Expect Distribution is in its 32^nd year of business, employing over 300 staff, over 4 sites, and running 110 vehicles. Expect is a solutions based business, understanding client’s individual requirements, delivering value and building partnerships. During 2019 they developed and launched an online customer dashboard, providing all clients with live tracking of their deliveries.
