Expect Finalists at The Bradford Means Business Awards

Expect Distribution are delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Employer of the Year’ category at this years Bradford Means Business Awards, to be held on Thursday 30th September at The Bradford Hotel, Hall Ings.

The nomination detailed how employee morale has been maintained throughout the pandemic with fun events and incentives, such as their Free Brekky Friday’s and themed days, as well as employee recognition and the newly introduced employee development programme.

Sales and Marketing Manager, Gemma Bentley said “The best thing about Expect is the culture that has been created. It is a family run business and every single employees opinion counts. We are all encouraged to put forward ideas to further improve the business, whether that’s in relation to the services we provide or ways in which we can further improve our experience of working at Expect, every idea is listened to and discussed and where possible implemented. The atmosphere really is that of a large family and everyone cares about our results”

Customer Care Assistant, Carmel Roberts added “I’ve never worked for a business with such a large number of employees, where the Managing Director knows and talks to everyone. At first I thought it was strange that an employee in Customer Care would be stood chatting with a Director, but now I like it and it makes me feel valued and an important part of Expect’s achievements”

The Bradford Means Business Awards aim to celebrate success, recognise achievement and highlight the innovative people and companies throughout Bradford district who are putting their region on the map by boosting the economy while making a positive contribution to the local community.
