Position Overview:

We are hiring a Transportation Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the transportation operations within our organisation. 

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday //rotating between 6am starts and 11am starts
Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 (paid monthly)
Contract Type: Permanent 
Location: CO7 7JW (Colchester)

Key Responsibilities: 

• Managing the supply chain logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods
• ​Coordinating and scheduling transportation activities
• ​Leading a team of drivers and logistics staff
• ​Communicating effectively with drivers, suppliers, and customers
• ​Driving continuous improvement in transportation processes
• ​Utilising IT systems for route planning and tracking shipments
• ​Providing excellent customer service to resolve transportation issues promptly

Role Requirements:

• Strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively
• ​Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders
• ​Ability to drive operational efficiencies in transportation processes
• ​Proficiency in IT systems related to transportation management
• ​Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• ​Customer service-oriented approach to handle queries and complaints efficiently
• ​Proficient in Microsoft Word for documentation purposes
• ​Highly organised with the ability to multitask effectively
