Position Overview:

We are hiring a HGV Class 1 Driver who will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods to designated locations. The role requires compliance with road traffic laws, company procedures, and health & safety regulations, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Shift Pattern: 4on 4off // varied hours // day shift // nights out included 
Salary: £39,099.71 // ​Night out allowance of £26.20 per night // Early start allowance of £40.00 if starting before 4am // monthly pay
Contract Type: Permanent 
Location: BD4 6SE (Bradford)

Key Responsibilities: 

• Subsequently working in a responsible manner that complies with and increases product safety and quality
• Safely operate HGV vehicles (Class 1)
• ​Deliver and collect goods according to planned routes and schedules
• ​Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital records accurately
• Comply with EU/UK drivers’ hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive rules
• Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
• Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and depot staff.

Role Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E)
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital tachograph card
• Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Good geographical knowledge or ability to use navigation systems
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks where required
